I must say I'm not happy with the new district home page. I went to it this morning to find out about the delay for it not to be post there at all. I had to go to the different sites or the here at the blog to find out. I usually check both the district home page and the blog to find out about delays and closings. Someone really needs to make the new home page easier to navigate and the information that suppose to be there needs to be there when it's needed.

I have to say I agree with Jo about the new website. What the heck was wrong with the old one? If it isn't broke, don't fix it!

Too bad there still isn't a comments section!

Thanks for the 2 hr. delay.

I sure hope you decide to cancel. I live down the hill from the high school and I just looked out my window and cannot even see the water tower! Its a white out out there!

I find it a little ridiculous how Wawasee only cancels based on what other schools are doing. The wind is very hard and will bringing wind chills down to -20 all day today.
I can't believe there will be school today

I think a cancellation was in order for today. These winds alone are nasty. The blowing snow is going to make roads difficult to navigate, and the wind chills are to be between-10 and -20 degrees most of the day. I realize finals are going on this week, but are final exams really that much more important then student and staff safety? I can only imagine how difficult it is going to be for the bus drivers to keep the buses on the roads with these winds alone.

I can't wait to see how many high school students still aren't bright enough to wear coats!

Just started my truck and that wind is wicked! Should have cancelled, it is to get worse throughout the day, no brainer!

Well ladies I always go to Wawascene blog page to find closing and delays. I am not sure where you are going to get your information but Wawascene blog page is in my favorites so I can go straight to it. This website has never let me down. It always has the info I need. It also comes with the info about why the school has a delay or is closed. So use wawascene.blogspot.com to find all the info you need.

We aren't stupid, we also always go to the Wawascene. I think the new home page is very gawdy! What the heck was wrong with the old page? It was perfect!

Still wish there was a place for any comments, if not here, then how about facebook? You get on Facebook and you can't leave any comments, what is the deal?

I do use the blog, but there have been times where information differs from one site to the next. Therefore I prefer to check both sites to make sure I have my information correct before notifying friends and family of delays, closings, etc. This site I was referring to about not being navigable is the schools district home page which most schools have. The new district home page at NO time this morning gave the information of a 2 hr delay or otherwise. Not to mention it's blatantly obvious that our school does not want parent, student, or staff comments or input as we very rarely get to comment on the blog site, and you can NOT comment on either the district home page or face book pages. Even when we do get to comment here on the blog no one in admin or otherwise comments back or answers questions posed by parents, students, and staff. So there are reasons for a let down on all the above mentioned sites.

I know of at least one teacher who was not notified of the delay.
