Attend tonight's hearing at the high school at 7:00 pm if you have any interest in the decision to close the local license branch.

I have two points to make:
One:
The governor has directed his department heads to become "more efficient." While this may be a worthy goal - efficiency is not a societal end goal. Efficiency is a "means to an end" not an end in itself. In other words - what will the government actually do with their savings? Will it be returned to taxpayers? Of course not - it will be in actuality be another transfer of money and services from Kosciusko county to Marion county and elsewhere. What pet projects will be funded instead of your local license branch?
Two:
The direction is to be more efficient, but more efficient for WHO?

Thank you for touching on community issues on your blog site from time to time. Afterall, WCSC is just that: part of the community. Your input and insight is appreciated.
One way to ask school related questions is to contact the school where your children attend - starting with the teacher if the issues are instructionally related. School building related issues can be addressed to the principals.
You can always call me at 457-3188 and I would be more than happy to discuss any educational issue with you.
As far as posting questions on the web - this blog site works when the questions are related to the general topics being posted.
If you call, we can at least direct you to those who might be able to help.
