That is very nice, but what about the seniors now?
I was very upset with the fact that we did not, at the very least, have a 2 hour delay today. I live in town and I experienced slick road conditions. My child is a beginner driver--I thought this was quite unsafe not only for her, but also for the buses. I hope you make a better decision the next time something like this occurs.
I thought that it was ridiculous with the driving conditions today.......just to let you know.
I had an accident today on my way to school.
It made me late.
Was just wondering if you wanted to replace my bumpers for me.
Thanks!
I was wondering why Warsaw and Whitko had a delay, but not us?
Do they have richer families or something? Better at atheletics?
I guess OUR safety is not as cared for as theirs.
Why do last years seniors get a fancy breakfast, but not us?
Will we get one next year?
I'm going to be off at college...I hope I can attend it.
So I guess when the roads are dangerous and icy I should expect school. Right?
I mean it's not like my SAFETY is in danger or anything.
I'm just wondering why we didn't have a delay?
Did we get new buses that are more safe?
Do we have someone salting the parking lot of the High School?
Are the students all suddenly more responsible drivers?
The roads are slick and icy. I hope there just isn't an accident today.

... VERY SLICK AND HAZARDOUS ROAD CONDITIONS THIS MORNING...
LIGHT SNOW FROM MONDAY EVENING INTO EARLY THIS MORNING HAS MELTED AND THEN FROZE ON MANY ROADS... LEAVING ICY CONDITIONS FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. SECONDARY AND LESS TRAVELED ROADS APPEAR TO BE THE MOST TREACHEROUS... BUT ICY SPOTS ON HIGHWAYS AND INTERSTATES CAN BE EXPECTED. BRIDGES... OVERPASSES AND INCLINES WILL BE ESPECIALLY SLICK AND HAZARDOUS. MOTORISTS ARE ADVISED TO USE CAUTION THIS MORNING AND BE PREPARED FOR THESE ICY CONDITIONS. SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA DISTANCE FOR BREAKING AND TURNING. PEDESTRIANS SHOULD ALSO USE CAUTION AS SIDEWALKS WILL BE ICY AS WELL
This is unreal to me that there was not a delay this morning! I was out last night and the roads were horrible!! There is no way the roads improved by this morning!! What is wrong with the school board for not calling a delay!?! Our children's safety just does not seem very important this year! What right do you have to put our children's safety in your hands - Thank God is watching over them!
I'm so glad that there was no bus accident.
You really should be ashamed of yourselves.
I don't know who makes the decisions to delay or close school, but perhaps they should take a better look at the backroads these buses need to travel in the mornings when making those decisions. A delay at the least was needed today and our school officials failed our students and the parents by sending them out in those conditions.
Maybe you whiners should move to a state where it doesn't snow in the winter
I don't think the name calling is called for. This blog is here for us as parents and our students to voice our opinions. If you don't care to read those opinions then simply don't log on and read them. Or perhaps you don't care about the safety of our students out in buses with road conditions that could be hazardous.
This post was suppose to be about the senior breakfast. Comments like the ones above are the reason they disabled comments when they do post a delay or cancellation. The school has a hard decision to make as far as delays. People complain if there is no delay, but just as many people complain if there is a delay.
Just to clarify the Alumni Breakfast - students in the Class of 2008 requested a way to get together and visit with former teachers. The Alumni breakfast was scheduled for the first time for the Class of 2008. We plan on hosting one alumni breakfast a year for the previous graduating class to return to visit the school. The day was chosen because that is a time when most people return home for family Thanksgivings.
Just so you know, it was a continental breakfast and about 30 people came, completed a short survey, visited with each other and several teachers.
If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail.
So really you're saying that since only 30 people came--you probably won't do another breakfast like that again.
I think you misread that it says that they are planning on doing it again. She was just stating that 30 former graduates attended the breakfast. But it will only be for the previous years graduating class. I would like to know what about graduates from previous years that did have teachers who are still there. Perhaps you could put something together for them as well.
