Academic Super Bowl Results

Congratulations to all those involved with Academic Super Bowl. At the NLC competition in Goshen, Wawasee received 3rd place overall. In individual competitions, the math and science teams received 2nd place. Finishing with 3rd place were the social studies and interdisciplinary teams.

Way to go, Wawasee!

I'm glad to see the success of our Superbowl teams posted at this site. Their success should be celebrated as much (or more) as the attention we give to the athletic teams!

It's disappointing that the faculty sponsors don't seek community support for the ASB teams.

I'd write them a check in a minute, and be just as proud as when I buy a butt cushion or sweatshirt at a home game.

My son was in ASB, and I admire the hard work these kids put into this extra curricular event.

I don't know how to get it in the same league as basketball or swimming or band, but they could easily get practice teams of adults and raise awareness.

ASB needs a marketing person. Dozens of game shows on TV, and yet ASB goes unrecognized...

Academic Super Bowl is supported both by area service organizations and anonymous donations. Our first annual recognition banquet is being solely funded by the Syracuse Lions Club. The Wawasee Kiwanis Organization makes a generous donation to assist with supplies and medals.
We invite fans to attend the competitions to support our teams. The next competition is at Northridge on April 18 starting at 5. This is the competition that qualifies teams for state competition. At the NLC competition we had a vocal fan support that encouraged our teams to victory.
All this support is encouraged and appreciated. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions or need information. kharris@wawasee.k12.in.us

I was privileged to attend a portion of the Academic Super Bowl competition at Goshen and was extremely impressed with the spirit of the Wawasee High School participants. Congratulations on your placement and continued success as you work toward your next competition. The Syracuse Lions Club is proud to be sponsoring the first Academic Super Bowl Banquet in May.
