Wawasee Schools are Now Closed Wednesday

Wawasee has changed the delay to cancellation.

Many county roads remain unsalted and sanded. We had hoped that the delay would allow them enough time to reach all the main roads

School is closed.

Why didn't we go to a three hour delay? Their wasn't a lick of snow on the ground by noon!

I don't know who is on the calendar committee but I have worked here for five years and have never been able to count on those days in February to take a vacation. Please consider for next year to just tack them onto the end!

I'm not sure there was a lick of slippery at 10 a.m. that justified the cancellation. On the flip side, I'm sure it's not easy to know when to cancel and when to stay with the delay. We will be in trouble if February turns out to be cold and snowy like December--as the forecasters are predicting.
