The Wawascene was created by Dr. Mark Stock, former Superintendent of the Wawasee Community School Corporation. Due to its local popularity, Dr. Stock has left the blog site to future Wawasee administrators.

It's not only first year teachers! I've been teaching more than 20 and still have the jitters for days before that first day!

I used to have a common dream, or maybe it was nightmare. Once a year, about a week before school starts, I would dream that the students ignored every command and request I gave. It was like they couldn't hear a word I said. This would continue until I woke up in a cold sweat.

Most teachers I have talked with have said similar things! It's those first day jitters!
